Alaska was a state that Ron Paul supporters hoped would deliver a win for their candidate. But that didn’t quite happen, they’ll have to settle for second place. Mitt Romney appears to have “taken the gold” in the last Republican state to report results.
However, entry polls show that Paul finished a solid second in Alaska and will probably win some delegates.
The KTUU entry polling survey gives Paul 26%…
Of 339 registered voters, 163 claimed to support Romney, while 88 supported Ron Paul. Further, 54 voters intend to support Mike Huckabee and 34 support McCain.
Ron Paul also picked up third place and 5 delegates in North Dakota today. He made a deal with Mike Huckabee to win 3 delegates in West Virginia. And he’s likely to score a few more delegates in Minnesota.
Plus, results show that Paul finished in second in the Montana caucuses as well. But he apparently doesn’t win any delegates from that showing, according to the Associated Press.
—————
UPDATED: Well, exit polling is not an exact science. And it looks like they got it wrong in Alaska last night. Even though all the votes haven’t been counted yet, most reports agree that Ron Paul will finish in third place behind Romney and Huckabee. Projections show him winning 5 of the state’s convention delegates.

February 6th, 2008 at 7:33 am
What a big fucking disappointment.
February 6th, 2008 at 7:34 am
The caucuses for the districts in my part of Alaska are taking part at the end of the week. Today was only the preference poll. We have not lost the fight!
February 6th, 2008 at 7:42 am
Ron Paul takes second? By what count, every projection I’ve seen has him squarely in the bottom half, managing to scrape just a few more votes than McCain to avoid coming in 4th of 4 (a position familer to Dr. Paul by now.)
Paul put more resources into Alaska than in any other state, and has been rebuffed there. I can only hope this means that his support will be cowed and see things how they are. Radical libertarianism has never carried more then a few percent of the vote, and this year is no exception.
Ron Paul, building that bridge to the 1800s.
February 6th, 2008 at 7:57 am
Every state differs regarding how they issue the delegates. It will take some time to sort thru the info. Remember, the MSM is full of lies and right now I’m to tired to educate myself with the way some of the states award the final delegate. I’m sure Paul will offer an update and help us understand….
Folks don’t you see even in worst case we can use the people that came to this party and start to support fair and just bills and our voice can start in the morning so lets look at the overall bills has proposed that are setting in some commite and lets call everyone of our memembers of congress to get some just bills passed… We have laid the ground work for something great and we must not give up regardless…… We should have taken these small steps months ago but I just thought of it tonight….. Right now it’s 3:00AM on the east coast and it’s way past my bed time.
February 6th, 2008 at 8:00 am
Looks like that wave of Ron Paul support didn’t come. I think it is time for his supporters to admit that his problems are deeper than a media bias/media blackout. After all Huckabee showed over super tuesday that it was possible to push ahead and pull of a suprise strong showing even when the media has cut your coverage and labeled you a “also-ran”
February 6th, 2008 at 8:06 am
Exactly! The MSM has a bias against candidates who nobody wants to vote for. Ron Paul has 5-6% of the population who are fanatically supportive and throwing money at him. But money only count as far as it can translate over to votes, and Ron Paul hasn’t been able to do that.
Really, Paul’s attempts to buy the election are similar to the behaviors of many special interests he is critical of.
February 6th, 2008 at 8:18 am
“Really, Paul’s attempts to buy the election are similar to the behaviors of many special interests he is critical of.”
This is an outrageous claim, as Paul himself has spent very little money. Supporters like myself spend money more because of his honesty and personal integrity than his issues, but it is pretty outrageous to label us the “big money interest”.
“Ron Paul, building that bridge to the 1800s.”
Another ridiculous comment. Is President Bush’s 2000 foreign policy too much to ask? It wasn’t until 1950 that we started funding both sides of numerous civil wars.
In California there is a proposition that was made obsolete. In the voter guide the pro argument was “we no longer need this proposition, please vote no”. A yes vote meant “I am totally uneducated”. 43% voted yes, and with a probably equal number of ignorant no voters, about 4 of 5 voters actually has any idea what is going on.
Democracy!
February 6th, 2008 at 8:19 am
That is rich - Ron Paul and special interest in the same sentence! We are all aware that Romney and McCain are pure and chaste from those pesky special interests. I love that folks ignaore the conservative moves of Romney in Mass. as gov. -
same sex marriage ushered in under his watch, mandatory purchase of “health” insurance required by every Mass. citizen or a large fine levied on them, pro- abortion. UH HUH - he would do Obama or Billary Proud as a running mate.
February 6th, 2008 at 8:20 am
about 4 of 5 voters actually has *no* idea what is going on.
February 6th, 2008 at 8:54 am
It just goes to show you that the mainstream media - TV, radio, and print, trumps the most earnest grassroots efforts. Romney is a flip-flopper and has taken pro-abortion positions. McCain has pushed for illegal immigrant amnesty and doesn’t care if we are in Iraq for 100 more years. Huckabee is a very smooth talker, but has pushed for legislation that gives illegal immigrants and their children college scholarships at taxpayers’ expense…oh, and he pardoned a bunch of felons.
Then there’s Ron Paul. The only candidate who is against our expensive overseas military and domestic entitlement policies; and the only one who dares mention runaway inflation and a plummeting dollar. And he is labeled as a crank, loon, and quack.
You wonder why his (and only his) supporters withstand rain, sleet, snow, and sub-freezing temperatures for the off-handed opportunity that you will see them waving his signs as you drive to the local Jack-In-The-Box on your way to/from work.
A brief light goes on in your head and a voice tells you that, perhaps, there is something worth looking into about this Ron Paul guy. A few seconds later Rush Limbaugh comes back from a much-too-long commercial break to continue his diatribe on how Ron Paul and his supporters are a bunch of crack pots. You bite into your Jumbo Jack and decide that you will vote for McCain. You’re nothing but an idiot. You’ve been played like a tune.
February 6th, 2008 at 8:55 am
Like I care.
I’m going to vote for Paul as long as I’m able to.
If he’s out, I’m out. I’m not voting.
My vote isn’t going to anyone out of some false sense of civic guilt. I vote the principle, not the person. If Ron Paul is out, there is nobody left in the race supporting my principles. Therefore, I will stay home and return the following day to protest this fascist police state until the next election.
You gotta do, what you gotta do. For some of us, this isn’t a popularity contest based on skin color or gender. It’s the fate of the free world. We’re trying to look past color and sex. We’re in it for the long haul.
None of this gibberish really means much to most of us hardcore supporters of liberty. We just want to vote, and for the votes to really be counted. I’m still not sure we’re going to get that opportunity.
February 6th, 2008 at 8:56 am
This is only a disappointment for you Paul sheeple. SheePAUL? Sheepaul…yeah, that sounds about right!
I guess this shows exactly what America thinks about your Ron Paul crazyland fantasies. Don’t spend all your delegates in one place.
- Yolanda
February 6th, 2008 at 8:58 am
Paul’s attempt to buy the election? Give me a break Hucksters! If our guy got all the free media Goober gets he’d be kicking Chuck Norris’s butt. Ya us Paul supporters are going to laugh when the dollar crashes and you retards come over that bridge to the 1800’s on the Gold standard. Just keep drinkin the jesus juice on Elmer Gentry. but you don’t have too worry about us Paul guy’s we know we are not welcome and will build another party. Don’t count on our support come November. Make sure the McCain/Huckster ticket brings in enough illegals to make up our votes. You’re fake fiscal Conservatives, every last one of you!
February 6th, 2008 at 9:03 am
Look in the mirror for a fake fiscalcon, mastah, suh.
February 6th, 2008 at 9:07 am
Joe. I’d rather have my dollers based on the strength of the most powerful government in the world than a soft, shiny, and mostly useless metal.
February 6th, 2008 at 9:18 am
It is all about getting the message out; the real message that is about issues not party lines or a pretty voice. That Obama guy I never heard of him until the media gave him so much face/voice time. On the contrary Paul’s message goes against the controlling powers. Obama’s campaign has a lot of old names that are really running the show (look them up if you can, it is a who’s who going back 30 years)….for the people in power.
The ultimate right-winger Rupper Murdock ( The I pledge my allegiance to the World bank and the Jewish world congress)and his fellow crooks have stolen the American dream from us and we let them. It is our fault and the fault of the spineless politicians that are more self serving than serving the public office.
After talking with people about Ron Paul they took the time to find his issues read and changed their minds towards Paul. Not one got information from the SO CALLED NEWS MEDIA!
Unless Paul wins (I doubt it but I am pushing) NOTHING WILL CHANGE! We will still be in the war for two or more years, the federal reserve will still control our economy, the carefully selected members (for political reason) of the school board will select books to read for political reason, jobs will keep going overseas, the IRS will still bite deeper into the middle class further reducing the middle class and finally they will regulate the internet making us loose our last source for free exchange of information; then they will bring down our Constitution.
It is all about controlling the people not about letting the people control themselves. It is back to the old class rule ways of our history and most idiots think they live in a free country. It took human history to change slavery, a history of painful lessons in lack of personal freedoms to come up with a document that represents self government and the morons have no clue of its importance!
This phenomenon behind Ron Paul is not about the man but the voices he represents.
Ron Paul may not win this election, but take notice of the voices because there are some wolves in sheep’s clothing in that carefully manicured flock of yours. Your days are numbered; now if you excuse me I have to go find a job because the good paying job in my field was outsourced to India and now I no longer earn what I need to keep my house, pay taxes or save for my retirement. What little cash I have left is worth so little out side the country that I am trapped here…some F&*K^$G freedom! (The economy drives freedom).
I will keep my gun thank you as my early retirement option or use it as it was intended as in “the right to bear arms” and that is to protect me from the Government! Most Americans have no clue why the founding fathers gave us that right.
In a conversation I asked this stupid well educated woman from Marin County about this right to bear Arms? And she said, “we are no longer an agrarian society and they can go now and buy their possums in the market” She is about as stupid as Hillary! Hillary just wants the power to keep helping her friends, Obama is a puppet and the republicans have said nothing but the same old bovine manure. Now Ron Paul is the only one that when he speaks, he speaks of what he will do…have you noticed? No rhetoric glibly feel good crap.
We are now back to,” It’s the economy stupid” remember that? Well it is always about the economy! The Fed Reserve crooks are now in a position to demand, but we will never hear what they demand, because it will be filtered by the spineless politicians.
February 6th, 2008 at 9:21 am
Let it be known that the GOP, in chastising and excluding Ron Paul from debates, interviews, and other “air time”, has made a fatal mis-calculation. It is highly conceivable that Ron Paul will run as an Independent once his try at the Republican nomination has fizzled. Doing this would be absolutely disastrous to the GOP for the following reasons:
(1) It will obviously take away votes from the Republican party much like Ross Perot did back in 1992.
(2) As an Independent candidate, Ron Paul will get much more exposure from the mainstream media. His message will reach many more sheeple and there is a greater likelihood that they may be turned on to his ideas and message. This is a possibility that the mainstream media truly hates!!!
HAHAHA!
February 6th, 2008 at 9:24 am
Well JC you said it yourself. the most powerful government in the world. No longer are the people the ones with the power because we now are told to fight fake wars for Israel.
You had your chance. Don’t be upset when you go to jail for not having all your mercury lined shots or for not paying your carbon credits. Of how about when the NAU takes over after you have been stripped of your guns. As of now 9 of your 10 bills of rights are history. You will see the effects soon enough.
February 6th, 2008 at 9:50 am
Dr. Kibble,
There has been a “Ron Paul” type independent option in every presidential election for the last 40 years or more. Why would Dr. Paul be more of a drain on the republican party or gain any more traction with the media than, say, Michael Badnarik had in 2004?
February 6th, 2008 at 9:55 am
Just look around morons. The media barely breathes Ron Paul’s name; you wouldn’t know he was running if you just read the AP releases and looked at the lineups the media gives you. Wake up! Look at what these slime have once again given you: Hillary vs McCain; more of the same status quo with no fundamental difference between the two. The media and big interests win; Americans loose once again.
Even if you don’t agree with Paul, you are a brainless twit for letting the media once again dictate the next president. Now come November, you same idiots will be choosing once again between the lesser of two evils that the media duped you on. Like the sheep you are, you will once again choose between a Republican or a Democrat for president and we end up with more of the same worthless lot for another 4 years until the circus begins again.
You never learn.
February 6th, 2008 at 10:10 am
I used to be a democrat but all you democrats have let me down. We wan’t to come home from these wars, people are dying and the democrats don’t even….wtf kind of post-modern world do we live in where people think its cool to not vote. Respect the constition and read a little bit everyone it could help you a lot in your life. All of you people that are not voting for the most fucking amazing candidate (ron paul) are so stuck in you criminal fascist ways im afraid its too late….. all of you will meet your fate in the end and it won’t be pretty when you get cut off from your social health care plans you pigs…you will be held accountable, the fight for personal freedoms will be forever and you worthless scum will be meaningless…. the truth always prevails in the end….America will live forever
February 6th, 2008 at 10:18 am
Ron Paul has been blacked out by the media. For those of you who are so ignorant to think that our government is looking out for our best interests or that the media is not controlled I Beg you to open your eyes and mind and view the following movies and then pass them onto everyone you know:

America will live forever? You mean the insects of the continent? With 90% of the population ignoring the constitution the US done with.
February 6th, 2008 at 11:49 am
Good luck, Ron Paul! I hope and pray he will win, please God, and if not, then Ihope and pray that either Huckabee or Romney will win, but not any war monger.

March 9,1933 - USGOV turns into “Pottersville”, Nov. 22, 1963, The “talmudic terrorists” hijack the apex of “American” intelligence, and talmudvision ramps “it” up, April 19, 1993 - Holocaustianity now State Reliugion, Sept. 11,2001 - International “Jew” Worship becomes world religion…What tribe are they from ? Lies and false assumtions don’t change truth - see Deuteronomy 28…or keep worshipping the talmudic terrorists that “claim” to be “chosen”…Prove it! Go Ron Paul!!! - obliterate the insanity of perpetual “jew” worship. See - John 8:44. Was Jesus a liar ?
February 6th, 2008 at 12:16 pm
Ginny I’ll take a Libretarian over a mass murderer anyday. To listen to some here you wouldn’t think that we have a Patriot Act and No habeas Corpus..That is what this is about, reestablishing our Constitutional rights…I guess the real revolution is on!
February 6th, 2008 at 12:55 pm
Boy, aren’t there a lot of tools on this thread discrediting Ron Paul like he’s a somebody. Must be ruffling somebody’s feathers. And media sure makes a big point of discrediting him and blacking him out. I think we’re making progress, people.
February 6th, 2008 at 2:52 pm
Why do you supporters always see a black and white choice between mass murdering crazy american politics as usual and throwing away the federal reserve, FTC, etc?
February 6th, 2008 at 3:10 pm
The AP is the reason Ron Paul did poorly yesterday. when Paul got second in Navada the AP wrote romney wins navada followed by the other candidates. People at voting time still were saying who is Ron Paul? I say never buy a news paper ever again and never click on yahoo or other “news ” with AP credited.
February 6th, 2008 at 3:13 pm
Does it really even matter? As a Ron Paul supporter I am supporting the message. We all know a democrat will win the office. Their party is turning out in droves to support their candidates and if you look at Obama, his fans are fanatical too. When I go see a Football game with parents cheering their kids they at times seem fanatical. So whether you are cheering “Yes We Can, Yes We Can” or “O Ba Ma, O Ba Ma” or you are cheering “Ron Paul, Ron Paul” or “Ron Paul Revolution, Give us back our Constitution”. Either way we are all Americans and we are looking for some change on both sides of the isle. In my eyes the clear choices should be Ron Paul and Barack Obama in the General elections. Regardless of who wins they have both promised big Change.

“Ron Paul, building that bridge to the 1800s.” - commenter Joseph
“My attitude toward progress has passed from antagonism to boredom. I have long ceased to argue with people who prefer Thursday to Wednesday because it is Thursday.” - GK Chesterton
February 6th, 2008 at 3:17 pm
Yolanda Please! A bridge back to the 1800’s? Extremely lame and unintelligent. You represent all those who think that they need government to take care of them. You have consumed the “Koolaid” that the DemoSocialCommuCrats have spoon fed you for decades. Get off the government handout concept, get free, get a clue and remove the chains of slavery that exist in your mind. Do Not allow yourself to become dependent on government to solve your own personal situation. Independence, self reliance, personal responsibility and an enterprising spirit is what has made this country. Get with the original idea of the US Constitution. It is not and should never be the governments responsiblity to provide you with a comfortable life, or even a job! If you want Socialism move to a country that has it. I for one do not want the government in my personal life. Just provide for the common defense! Capitalism, Enterprise and Creativity is the driving force for freedom and prosperity. An overbloated government consumes resources and stifles creative enterprise. Respect the wishes of the founding fathers and keep us free!
February 6th, 2008 at 4:01 pm
The problem Ron Paul has is that he won’t provide for the defense of this country. He’s a coward.
February 6th, 2008 at 4:01 pm
Sheople voting is your answer. An extremely small percentage of voters go to the primaries to vote or even know they exist. The ones who do go vote don’t have a clue as to the voting record and history of the candidates. As a result you get a sheople vote that resembles a horse race more than anything else.
It is a sad commentary on the American people who prefer to live in blissful ignorance.
February 6th, 2008 at 4:03 pm
Fewer people voting isn’t a bad thing. After reading some of the posts on here, it would be better if most of yall just didn’t vote.
February 6th, 2008 at 4:19 pm
Comparing Huckabee and Paul is not appropriate. Huckabee’s support is almost 100% values voters, and his strongest support by far is from Southern voters. His support more of an issue of the twang in his voice and his willingness to talk about faith (a cheap and easy move) than for any of his ideas.
Paul is running 100% on issues, all the time. If you don’t get face time and you’re running on the issues, you face a very uphill battle. There’s no fallback position, no way to penetrate the mainstream consciousness. In my opinion, if the media would start reporting the news instead of deciding what counts as news, Ron Paul would have a better shot of making an impact. I’m a bit tired of seeing every reference to Paul as an “also-ran”, “longshot”, and the like. If you keep saying negative things about someone, without giving them access to rebut those charges, people have little choice but to ignore him as a candidate.
Given the way he’s been treated by the media in this campaign, I think his finishes in ND, ME, AK, MT, MN, NV, and IA are amazing. And people want to throw him overboard because he didn’t win a state…
February 6th, 2008 at 4:20 pm
Yolanda, why the name-calling? Are you too insecure to have a reasonable discussion? I hope that during your years in school they explained to you that name calling, glittering generalities, etc. were tools used by propagandists and their ilk when they cannot make a reasoned argument. Besides, is it not so that Ron Paul supporters part of America just like you? Since when is “America” a single creature with a single mind with a single thought. Such intolerance is unworthy of a citizen of this nation if they truly believe in the rights of the individual.
February 6th, 2008 at 4:27 pm
“Joe. I’d rather have my dollers based on the strength of the most powerful government in the world than a soft, shiny, and mostly useless metal.”
oh, it’s a strong government alright. a strong centralized, command-economy government similar to what they had in the USSR in the late 70s. too bad the country it controls is a consumer & deficit-driven fat ass diabetic collapsing under its own weight and its only reactions are hilarious mandates and welfare policies.
can’t wait to invade Iran even though 14 of the hijackers and Osama bin Laden were/are Saudi Arabian.
long live the NEO-cons, Israel FIRST!!
February 6th, 2008 at 4:43 pm
Marty Please! A bridge back to the 1800’s? I NEVER SAID THAT! Extremely lame and unintelligent.
Sounds like you’ve been following your flock of SheePaul for too long…you can’t even think for yourself now.
BAAAA! BAAAA!
February 6th, 2008 at 5:09 pm
Now that Super Tuesday is over and you’re not worried about Ron Paul. It’s okay to look at what everyone else has been talking about.
February 6th, 2008 at 5:12 pm
Don’t be afraid, Ron Paul won’t hurt your candidate. You don’t have anything to lose by listening to what Ron Paul has to say… right? http://www.ronpaul2008.com/issues/
February 6th, 2008 at 5:26 pm
Democracy can be explained as “two wolves and a lamb, voting on what to have for dinner” or “A political system calculated to make an intelligent minority subject to the will of the stupid.” –Friedrich Nietzsche
February 6th, 2008 at 6:16 pm
You are right Michaelh, Ron Paul does have deeper problems than the mainstream media bias. He is also dealing with the least informed and least interested electorate in the “free world”. This country is 95% sheep and they won’t get it until the country is completly bankrupt. Go ahead and celebrate the fact that the only candidate who has any rationality was defeated by your status quo, higher taxes, more wars, failing economy candidates with the rest of your fellow dupes.
You wonder why your currency is devaluing, schools suck, we are losing jobs, we are bogged down in wars, inflation is rising, healthcare costs are out of control, and all your tax dollars go to other countries. Meanwhile you just keep voting for the same status quo bums the media sells you. When it comes to the media’s ability to fool this countries sheeple, this lyric sums it up for me…
“your just victims of the in house drive-by, they say jump you say high high” ~ Rage Against the Machine
But hey, American Idol is on, better go watch it.
February 6th, 2008 at 6:24 pm
Comment by Mike 2/6 @ 4:01 pm: “The problem Ron Paul has is that he won’t provide for the defense of this country. He’s a coward.”
That’s ridiculous. Ron Paul had more financial support from the Military than any other candidate. Look it up. Ron Paul SERVED 5 years in the US Military as a flight surgeon. He and McCain are the only vets running, and the Military supports Dr. Paul. Oh well, I bet you didn’t know any of this…since the media wouldn’t want you to. You should volunteer yourself to fight the endless Neocon MiddleEast wars. Shame on your ignorance.
February 6th, 2008 at 6:39 pm
Yolanda, i feel very sorry for the type of mentality like yours, that seems to be taken over this great country (for now). You’re all blind by ignorance or just out of touch with humanity. While Obama pretends to love America, Clinton supports Bush, Romney worries about his good looks, Huckabee brain washes God’s people and McCain get’s ready to kill more children over seas, most of the American People don’t want to see this or just lost hope on the better side of humanity. If we don’t get someone humble, with a big heart and a brain to match it, we’re no longer only worry about terrorism but Russia and China as well. We have lost all allies and now the world is watching us very closely, specially our enemies. We not only are going to have a nuclear war, we first are going into a recession and just maybe a civil war if things don’t change after lots of starvation and third world conditions. Now, the 90% of Americans that think that Ron Paul can not save this country from itself, will be sorry when the dollar crashes, in the very near future. Keep your eyes on stock market and mark my words for all those things i predicted will come true, and just in that order to.
February 6th, 2008 at 6:46 pm
DJ, you ignorant idiot. I know all the crap you put in your post. Bravo Foxtrot Delta about the military supporting him. I don’t give two rat asses about that, and I don’t give a crap about his service record either. As President he would not deffend this country.
No big deal though, he’ll never be President any way.
February 6th, 2008 at 7:07 pm
If you think ron only has 5-6% of the votes, then I guess you believe that elections aren’t fixed as well! Ron raised 20 mil last quarter and is leading this quarter in donations, its impossible to have that kind of money and only 6% of the votes. Look at Huckabee, who has raised barely half of what Paul has, and he’s winning states. Its all fixed guys. Support Ron Paul, they are hoping we stop so they can move forward in brainwashing the dumb people, like some here that have posted. This is going to convention and by then we should have much more power.
February 6th, 2008 at 7:10 pm
Mike said…”"DJ, you ignorant idiot. I know all the crap you put in your post. Bravo Foxtrot Delta about the military supporting him. Oh and the current GOP is defending our country mike. Have you ever asked yourself why the GOP hammers us daily with “the terrorists are coming” when our borders north, south, east and west are WIDE open for all to come??? You are the idiot.
February 6th, 2008 at 7:12 pm
And Mike, Ron Paul can’t protect America? You mean protect it like Bush? Send us into two endless wars, losing both of them? Then try to start a war with Iran - and lets wake up, if you can’t beat Afghani cavemen in 7 years, or Iraqi shop keepers in nearly 5 years, you are not going to stop the Iranians - even if McCain got his 100 years. Rome used to do things like this though, and look where it got them. Use your brain Mike, not much time left, and you’re about to see this isn’t a game.
February 6th, 2008 at 8:13 pm
You stupid fuckin war monger fearful little pigeon bastards….Ron Reagan campaigned for ron paul in 1976 and that is still not enough for you stupid republicans…you people bow down to Reagan for some reason….if he was alive he would be voting for ron paul you dim witted idiots stop acting so foolish….stop it now little child
February 6th, 2008 at 8:15 pm
quote: “I can only hope this means that his support will be cowed and see things how they are.”
No, we will support Paul no matter what. We will write him in on election day because in our eyes, McCain, Romney, Hillary, Obama, Huckabee are all the same. We just wouldn’t vote at all if it meant a vote for them.
Do you realize how many people are running for congress this year because of Rons message? Do you realize he has gotten more donations than any other candidate? He has gotten more military donations than any other candidate even if you combine all their donations!
You do realize that the supporters of other candidates are not nearly as enthusiastic or as interested in politics as we are.
We are infiltrating the GOP, we are going to their meetings, joining our city counsils, congress, ect… Also, people were leaving the GOP before Paul, now they are returning to support him. He is the only candidate that will beat a democrat.
This is the Ron Paul Revolution! This is the beginning of a movement to take our country back.
February 6th, 2008 at 8:26 pm
“BAAAA! BAAAA!”
It’s people like you that remind me how stupid people are. Go back to kindergarten. And if you go ‘look at all this certification for how smart I am!’ I swear to somebody’s god there’ll be hell to pay. Assuming I care enough to check back on this thread.
I think I read a comment how someone would prefer ‘the strength of the strongest government in the world over a useless and shiny metal’ or some such to back currency. Enjoy your poverty, idiot. Go study some economics, what makes currency work, and the mechanics of US national debt before you continue polluting the net with your stupidity.
As far as defending this country, three points. One. We are pretty much impossible to invade short of concerted assault by both Europe AND China, and the only reason we would lose (assuming we lost, I’d give it about 5:1 odds for, personally) on the home front as a result is because most of our military is overseas. Two, google Lockheed Martin and research its full capabilities, then realize that this is one of several companies being employed by our government to assure America’s security. It should give you chills the full extent of what the corporations are capable of. These guys are the ones who are really in control of America’s power at the moment, and we’re going broke paying them. Three. If we continue fighting this war, we are going to face an economic crash in the very near future. I’ve said it before, but warmongers, enjoy your poverty.
I personally plan on getting out of this country within the next few years if things don’t start changing, or at the very least finding somewhere to go to ground until I can get out. Really, the flavor of the impending World War 3 depends on the candidate, and for the sake of the millions of lives it would cost, I hope McCain or Hillary isn’t elected. Time is running out, people. It’ll seem radical now, but give it four or five years, and remember, you heard it here first.

The F.E.D. balancing money supplies and the SEC laws is what prevents another great depression, we should not get rid of them.
google monetarism.

Some of you folks against Dr. Paul are pretty cold blooded. What part of the Constitution do you like? The man sounds just like Ronald Reagan and no conservatives can stomach him. Unbelievable, Dr. Paul knows this is not the end of his arguments for freedom and economic liberty. I’m a believer in the Constitution till my dying days.
Thanks Dr. Paul!
Three cheers for Dr. Paul!
Hip, hip, hooray!
Hip, hip, hooray!
Hip, hip, hooray!
For he’s a jolly good fellow, for he’s a jolly good fellow. Which nobody can deny, which nobody can deny!
Go, Dr. Paul!

No. Ron Paul does not sound like Reagan at all when it comes to defending this country.

PEOPLE PLEASE READ THIS SO YOU CAN UNDERSTAND THAT WE CAN WIN THE NOMINATION AND STOP LISTENING TO THE MSM FOR YOUR INFO!
The MSM is not reporting how to become the nominee in a situation like this so i will tell you to stop gettin g your info from the MSM.
I know many of you are bummed about yesterday BUT THAT IS BECAUSE YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW THE ELECTION SYSTEM WORKS : Let me explain to you the reality of how to become the nominee.
First stop looking at who wins each states popular vote for most of these states the vote by the people is really nothing but a straw poll and have no real bearing on who will become the nominee. The only way this matters is if 1 person receives 1192 delegates that are bound by state rules to be commited to that candidate. So if a candiate like Mccain has 600 delegates now and he doesn’t reach 1192 most of the delegates the state awarded him mean nothing and keep in mind in most of the states most of the people that represent the 600 for Mccain are actually Ron Paul supporters. NOW there is no possible way that anyone in the race can achieve this goal now because of the major split in state wins by the candidates.
So what happens now you ask? You look at the number of delegates that Dr. Paul has that are uncommited to the other candidates and will support him. these delegates are not decided by the popular vote ie: straw poll of the people. Since no one will have enough delegates to skate them through to the nomination we now must look at how many delegates NOT VOTES but delegates Dr. Paul has that are 100% uncommited to the other candidates and will be 100% for Dr. Paul and are free to vote for whom they wish.
This race will go all the way to the convention for there is no other way for someone to receive the nomintaion untill the convention.
The RNC will convene its annual Winter Meeting - and voters will continue to cast their ballots in the nation’s primaries and caucuses. Candidates for delegate and alternate delegate to the convention will be elected - and thousands of convention participants and guests will begin planning their trips to Minneapolis-Saint Paul The first week in September 2008
SO WHAT DOES ALL THIS MEAN?
This means that all of the people that registered to become a deligate for Dr. Paul can go to the convention and cast thier vote for Dr. Paul, now think about what i just said : Do you think for one second that all the people that voted for Dr. Paul and filed to become a deligate will not show up at the convention to vote for the good Doctor? Of course they will just like they battled the rain and the sleet and the 15 below zero winter weather to knock on doors and wave signs spreading our message.
Now i assure you that even though we didn’t win the popular vote in many states WE DID PICK UP THE MAJORITY OF DELEGATES THAN ALL THE OTHER CANDIDATES IN MOST EVERY STATE EXCEPT A FEW. So yes they won the straw poll and we won what counts which is delegates.
Doesn’t Dr. Paul need to WIN 5 states to be on the ballot at the convention for the nomination?
NO THIS IS NOT TRUE for people were just confused on how it actually works.
We only need the majority of delegates from 5 states to be put on the ballot NOT THE POPULAR VOTE OF 5 STATES and i assure you we have picked up the majority of uncommitted delegates for Dr. Paul in more than 5 states.
Do any of you remember seeing posts by myself and many others that said BECOME A DELEGATE? There is still time in most states to become a delegate for the convention and we are picking up more of them every day.
So please STOP you worry too much because you do not understand how the election system works and you thought we lost didn’t you?
The fact is Dr. Paul is a genius in his strategy and we are further ahead in delegates than you think and we can win the nomination.
I hope this gives a better understanding of how we have been winning even though most of you thought we were not.
NOW LET’S KEEP WORKING!

Very disappointing results, but at least I am not part of the problem any longer. It was nice to vote for a principled leader for once.

Trans-Mutant,
If I understand the most likely scenario that you’re putting forth here, you’re essentially saying that the delegate positions of at least some of the winning candidates have been infiltrated, or converted, by the Ron Paul campaign - and they’ll go to the convention as delegates for Romney, McCain or Huckabee, but in fact vote for Paul.
While this seems like a highly unlikely scenario, if it is in fact what has happened, then those delegates have (somewhere along the line) misrepresented themselves as being loyal to a particular candidate when they are not. Furthermore, such a tactic would be an insult to the integrity of the very political system that Mr. Paul claims to want to clean up and revolutionize.

New strategy… lets support the guy/girl who will screw things up with the greatest speed so that we can get the sheeple to see the resulting carnage faster. How else to inform the brain-dead majority, who mindlessly sit in front of their new HD TV’s and suck up the MSM’s total spin night after night? I suppose they will be happy standing in soup lines for handouts too? I hear lot’s of people say Ron Paul is a big risk? Too what? The status quo NeoCon empire maybe!

Ron Paul supporter’s complete lack of a reality check at this late day in the campaign has been convinced me that they’ve started snorting their own supply.
You can claim Ron Paul stands for “freedom”, whatever that means.
What about my freedom to not be fired because of my skin color? Ron Paul does not care. My freedom not to be passed over for a promotion because of my gender? Ron Paul does not care. My freedom to be protected from dangerous food, drugs, lead based paint, etc? Ron Paul does not care. My freedom from the financial devastation that can come form a debilitating injury or disease? Ron Paul does not care.
