Well, so much for party unity. Long-shot libertarian Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul has stated that he will not back John McCain if he is the Republican nominee this year.
“I can not support anybody with the foreign policy he advocates, you know, perpetual war. That is just so disturbing to me,” Paul said. “I think it’s un-American, un-Constitutional, immoral, and not Republican.”
At the same time, however, he has also ruled out running as a third party candidate himself. He’s instead focusing on a tough re-election battle against a local city councilman who is running on a platform that is more in-line with the mainstream of the Republican Party. If Ron Paul is defeated in that primary, then all bets are probably off and we could see him going after the Libertarian nomination or something along those lines.
Either way, it appears that there will not be a unanimous vote at the Republican National Convention this September. Ron Paul has accumulated at least 25 delegates, and that number will at least double before all is said and done.

Thank God Paul is not backing McCain! McCain’s selection as the GOP nomination is the death-knell of the GOP. McCain is the designated loser to the Democratic candidate, the designated winner Hitlery Clinton, the hated mortal enemy of America. Better that all life on earth should perish than the uSA should have either McCain or Hitlery as president.

Please go to this site and vote for Dr. Paul. It’s a site about having an open GOP convention. You will have to write in his name at the bottom of the posted listed. Thanks to all. http://www.opengopconvention.com

Ron Paul has no business supporting Juan McWar because Ron Paul is having more support to be the next president of USA.
Go Ron Paul. Only Ron Paul can revive the Dead Elephant.

The Dr. Ron Paul presidential campaign is alive and well. The corporate media and the RNC might be able to silence the campaign, but they can’t silence the message. WE ARE GOING TO MARCH ON WASHINGTON!! They might silence the man, but they cant silence the people. Spread the word!

LOL! Like I’ve said before, most of his ideas are great. A support for the Fair Tax would help, and a willingness to protect the country would put him over the top. Hell, getting rid of most of you nut jobs that think he’s a god would make him a shoe in. But without those three, yall might as well be farting in the wind. He will never get higher in politics than he is right now.

Mike, you are quite mistaken about the so-called Fair Tax, which is a misnomer for “Just A New Way to Redistribute Wealth”. The Fair Tax does not even come close to addressing the real problem: the bloated spending that has required there to BE a tax on citizens at all. Read what the Mises Institute says about the Fair Tax: http://www.mises.org/story/1814

Elizabeth, I never said anything about spending. And I’m not mistaken about the Fair Tax at all. Why don’t you actually go to Fairtax.org, or hell head to your local book store and get the two books on it by Lender and Boortz.
Do me a favor, quit supporting a system tha takes from my paycheck and adds to your pockets. I’d shoot a person for less.
